So far our summer has been humid and warm and very green. Flowers are blooming everywhere.

Fall is gradually turning into winter, although so far it’s still warm enough to work outside.
Spring is here….we’ve had a few snowy storms, but this month has brought mostly warm sunny days.

Spring is really coming now – the air is warmer and the snow has disappeared everywhere except some patches on the north-facing slopes. There are still nights when we get dustings of snow, but they melt away as soon as the temperature rises the next day.
We’re definitely into the cold part of winter – this morning it was -5F on the kitchen window thermometer.
It’s the end of summer already – fall always comes too fast. Goldenrods and Asters, Gentians and Blazing Star are in bloom, and birds and butterflies have been migrating though on their way to warmer places.

It feels like fall has come and gone already. We’ve had a lot of windy, cool days, so the colors are muted and most of the leaves are down.
