Winter has really arrived now. We had a small snowstorm a few weeks ago, and worried that our clearing project was over, but it was a false alarm. The snow melted away after a few days.

We’re still seeing some brown in the trees from the late frost we had in mid-May. Burr Oak, Black Walnut and Sumac seem to have been damaged most. Otherwise, the leaves are green and lush and it looks and feels like summer. Continue reading
