There’s a cedar waxwing nest in the brush across from the porch at the cabin – it seems very late for nesting.

We had lots of visitors – Barb Delaney came to explore, and Dave Linderud came with Duane to look at the prairie possibilities.  And Rick Gauger came.  Barb loved it – and I had a great time following her and making notes on everything.  Barb and Rick met – that was a good connection for them – I think they’ll have chances to work together in the future.

Coyotes were howling in the woods last night.

There was a pack of wild dogs up on the hill by Hidden Oaks Prairie.  They were afraid of me, fortunately, and ran away.  Robert and Mike went looking for them in the gator, but couldn’t find them.
