We didn’t do any mowing here this spring – heavy snow over the winter had flattened most of the grasses so there was nothing to mow. I cut and treated some of the aspen (Milestone + bark oil) that’s invading along the edges of the prairie, mostly at the south western end.
We’re seeing more Prairie Smoke, Prairie Phlox, and Butterflyweed here every year.
