This spring a wide shallow stream appeared, running down the middle of 3 Finger Valley. It only ran on days when the snow was melting fast – on colder days it stopped and froze.

This is the stream running down through the prairie.

At the bottom of the prairie, the stream runs into the woods. It spreads way out in the level places, and then narrows to make waterfalls down into narrow gullys, and eventually goes past our house and from there into the creek.

All that melting, rushing water sounds like spring.
