Males have a large area of brown near the body on all four wings, and a whitish area in the middle of the wings. Their bodies become ‘pruniose’ – whitish-blue – as they age. Females and immature males have the brown wing bands, but no white. Their abdomens are brown with a yellow stripe running down each side. (Bugguide)
