Cabera variolaria – The Vestal

Caterpillar foods:  cherry, aspen, tamarack, willow  (Bugguide)

Rounded – not pointed – wings; males with pectinate antennae;  front of head and forelegs yellowish brown to orange;  wings white or white with light gray speckling – not shiny.  May have faint gray or yellowish lines crossing the wings.  (Bugguide)

8/15/2022  I think this is the same moth as the one above.  It was on the shield around the black light, so the color is off, but it shows the speckling, the antennae and the veins clearly.
