Orange with yellow head, green eyes, two dark oblique bands at base and middle of wing forming V shape in dorsal view, legs yellowish with dark at joints (Bugguide)
Has been found on blackberry and dewberry, also grasses, sedges and shrubs, and comes to lights (Hoppers of North Carolina)
