Caterpillar foods: mine leaves of composites, mostly in the tribe Senecioneae including Arnoglossum muehlenbergii, Erechtites hieracifolia, Prenanthes alba, Packera aurea, Packera glabella, Senecio aureus (Bugguide)
Adults are extremely small – 1-2mm.
