Caterpillar foods; alfalfa and white sweet clover but polyphagous on many plants and trees including pine (Bugguide)
Looks very similar to Clepsis clemensiana. Clepsis clemensiana has narrower forewing, straighter costa, pointed apex, often darker shading along veins and males have a costal fold.
