Family Cerambycidae

Larvae feed on living oaks or maple.  Eggs laid under bark scales, larvae feed under the bark for the first year, then move to heartwood for second year.  Overwinter as larvae; pupate in spring; adults emerge in spring and summer.  (Bugguide)
