Caterpillar foods: poplars and willows  (Oehlke)

From Bill Oehlke‘s description of this species:   70-85mm   Black dashes in basal, subapical, anal areas help identify this species.  Hindwings may be yellow to yellowish-orange; more often are salmon-red.   Note face-head-like markings on thorax.  Hindwing: first (nearest apex) black protrusion into the white fringe “noticeably” larger than others.
