Digrammia ocellinata – Faint-spotted Angle

Hodges # 6386

Caterpillar foods:  locust (Bugguide)

This moth has become much more widespread as Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia) has spread over the eastern half of the US.  (Wagner)  We don’t have locust on our land – as far as I know – but it’s invading this area, and it’s close by – probably within a mile.
