These are the earliest photos we have of the savanna.

4/27/2003  After we had widened the path through the savanna.  The path is one we originally made in 2000, when we first moved here, to be able to walk from Buffalo Ridge Prairie to Indian Grass Point.  This is looking south, from what was then woods, toward Indian Grass Point.

10/17/2003  This is the brushy area between the path and the west facing prairie opening.  The opening was being invaded by birch trees, but was still open and prairie-like in the middle.
