In June 2010 I reared several caterpillars.

At that point they stopped eating and looked like they were ready to pupate. I put them in a closed plastic container with some damp sphagnum, in a dark cupboard, and after about a week they had all pupated.
This photo of the pupae was taken quite a bit later – on 9/20/2010.
They spent the winter on our porch, and emerged the following spring.
