Aside from a spring mowing, we didn’t do much work here this year.

Late in the summer and early fall I cut and treated most of the aspen sprouts that are coming up in the small prairie remnant.  And a spent one morning cutting and treating buckthorn on the east edge of the savanna, above the woods down into Goldenrod Valley.  There are lots of buckthorns throughout that woods – weeks of work for the future.

11/1/2025  The yellow leaves are the aspen sprouts.  I cut and treated as many as I could find before the leaves fell off. Once the leaves were gone, they were very hard to find.
