Family Ophioglossaceae
This species has a single sterile frond, which can be one of two forms: dissectum with fringed edges, and obliquum with smoother edges. The fronds are green in summer and early fall, but turn bronze colored in late fall and winter. The fertile frond is not photosynthetic and resembles bunches of grapes.
