6/4/2022 This shows one of the thick patches of Wood Betony. There are many of them scattered through the prairie. I think they help make it more diverse – they seem to suppress grasses and Canada/Tall Goldenrod, and let some of the smaller prairie plants thrive. This area has Prairie Phlox, Lupine and Indian Paintbrush.
