Hidden Oaks Savanna – 2022

We didn’t do a lot of work on this area this year.  Mike cut and picked up trees that had fallen over the winter so he could do his usual mowing in the spring.  I treated clumps of Reed Canary Grass, and pulled some – but not nearly all – of the Queen Anne’s Lace in the open areas.  And late in the fall we cut and treated some of the buckthorns that are coming up around the brush pile and at the edges of the wooded slopes.
