These are moth caterpillars that I’ve found and been able to identify. I’ve tried to rear most of them, so I could confirm the ID by seeing the adult. Some didn’t survive my rearing, so the IDs are based on information and observations from other resources – primarily David Wagner’s books on caterpillars (Caterpillars of Eastern North America, and Owlet Caterpillars of Eastern North America – which is now out of print), and Bugguide.net.
‘T’ after a name means that the ID is tentative. I’ve included a few unidentified caterpillars at the bottom of the page.
