We had the field sprayed with glyphosate last fall, so in January I planted prairie seeds.  Mike mowed it twice this summer.  Lots of Common Milkweed plants came up, so we didn’t mow those spots the first time, to give the monarchs a chance to grow up.  But we mowed it all in the later mowing.
