5/9/2015 Our friend Dean gave us several seedlings of Valerian – an unusual native that I’ve never seen growing. I planted a few here, and a few in the wet end of East Center Valley.
5/22/2015 This year I finally girdled the huge old aspens at the back of the old aspen grove. It will be nice to get rid of them – they hide the old open-grown Burr Oaks behind them.
6/14/2015 Indian Paintbrush came up in the savanna this year – I’ve never seen it in any of our remnants before.
