3/30/2014  The annual spring flood – it happens when the snow melts all at once on a warm day.

8/4/2014  Planted wet prairie.  I pull Wild Parsnip from this area every year.  It used to be so thick that we had to mow it, but every year there are fewer plants, and it gets easier to get them all.

8/6/2014  This area was invaded by Bird’s Foot Trefoil, and I’ve tried various ways to control it.  Some were not so successful, and led to this growth of Queen Anne’s Lace.

8/6/2014  Mike weed-wacked  the thickest part so that I can find the Bird’s Foot Trefoil plants – hopefully they’ll be easier to eliminate if I can locate them.
