The only maintenance we did this year was to mow some of the aspen seedlings that are coming up at the western edge of the prairie – next to an aspen woods. The northern end of the prairie is getting very grassy, especially with some cool season, non-native grasses – probably Kentucky Bluegrass and Canada Bluegrass. I haven’t figured out what to do about them yet.
