Caterpillar foods: poplar, willow (Beadle & Leckie)
This looks like the correct ID, but it’s not possible to be sure without dissection. One difference in some of the specimens is that some moths in the photos on Bugguide and MPG have red thoracic tufts. Others, like this one, are all gray.
