9/5/2011  I planted Swamp Thistle (seeds collected from other parts of the wetland) next to the driveway and it’s doing very well.  Swamp Thistle is a beautiful native thistle – not aggressive, and very attractive to bees and butterflies.

10/15/2011  We finally got our driveway repaired from the flooding last summer – we’ve had a temporary fix until now.  Jeff Reglin and his guys came and built a very sturdy bridge around the culvert.  Hopefully this one will survive a flood.
