We did mowing of aspen and birch sprouts again this year.  There weren’t as many as last year, but still enough to mow.  We don’t walk through this prairie as often as some of the others, so there aren’t as many photos.

Prairie Blazing Star – Liatris pycnostachya   There are now several plants, in several different places in this prairie.  I didn’t plant this species, so I suspect the seeds came with some other seeds I bought.

 

11/14/2013  I saw a large flock of Wild Turkeys that day – I counted at least 40.  It was impossible to get them all in one photo.
