Amphipyra pyramidoides – Copper Underwing

Caterpillar foods:  general feeders on leaves of many broadleaved trees and shrubs including apple, basswood, hawthorn, maple, oak, walnut, raspberry, grape, greenbrier  (Bugguide)

These are quite common at my lights, and one of the most common moths I see on bait at the end of the summer.
