The caterpillars are finally making their cocoons. They started a week ago and now there are about 10 finished cocoons.

Here’s a cocoon that’s becoming more opaque. You can also see the silky threads that cement it on to the sticks.

And here’s a cocoon that’s several days old – much browner and not transparent any more.
