Nice plants on Hidden Oaks Point – November 23, 2004

I found several clumps of Downy Rattlesnake Plantain growing under an oak tree, right at the end of Hidden Oaks Point.
They are on a south facing slope, almost at the bottom of the hill. It’s the first time I’ve seen them on a prairie hill – the other plants we have are deep in the woods on north-east or north-west facing slopes.

And there was a large clump of a beautiful moss. I’ll try to find it again and key it out next week.
