They’re getting bigger.
This time I took a photo with a quarter to give some idea of the size.

I still have 7 caterpillars left. I think I must have discarded the other 3 with the old lilac leaves by mistake. Last week I had put the old lilac branches outside the door of the porch – next to the step. When we arrived at the farm this week I found one poor cecropia caterpillar on the step. I imagine it had been looking for more lilac leaves all week. I took it inside and gave it some leaves, but it was too late – it died shortly afterwards.
